Development of Guidelines for the Design of Concrete Structures, Reinforced, Prestressed or Strengthened with Advanced Composites

ConFibreCrete was an EU TMR network aiming to develop guidelines for the Design of Concrete Structures, Reinforced, Prestressed or Strengthened with Advanced Composites. The work of the network was closely linked to the work of the fib Task Group 9.3.

It comprised 10 teams from 8 different European counties and had a total budget of 1,325,000 ECU over a period of 5 years, starting December 1997. The total research effort that was contributed was around 800 man-months of which around 300 man-months were funded by the EU.

The teams in the network included a mixture of Academia, Industry and a third European country and included innovate researchers of the highest calibre who conducted most of the pioneering research in the field.
